SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Frank Kodiak of Wilmington, who passed
4away on March 16, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Kodiak was a graduate of Joliet Catholic
6High School and Purdue University; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Frank Kodiak was the owner of Kodo Pharmacy and
8Joliet Professional Pharmacy; he served his community with
9pride as a pharmacist for over 41 years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Frank Kodiak was a member of Phi Kappa Theta
11fraternity, where he formed many lifelong friendships; he was
12also a longtime parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Raymond;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Frank Kodiak was a fan of the Purdue Boilermaker
15football, basketball, and water ski teams; he was an avid
16boater that navigated the Des Plaines River and four of the
17Great Lakes; he also enjoyed his summer boat trips on Lake
18Michigan; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Frank Kodiak was preceded in death by his parents,
20Anne and Frank Kodiak; and

1    WHEREAS, Frank Kodiak was the beloved husband of 38 years
2to Carol Kodiak; the loving father of Chad (Jennifer), Cari
3(Bryan) Pyka, and Cris; the adored "Papa" of Max and Mia Pyka
4and Jackson Kodiak; the dear brother of Rosemary (Thomas)
5Murphy and Barbara (Richard) Siebert; the caring uncle of many
6nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and a friend
7to all; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10his family and friends, the passing of Frank Kodiak; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Frank Kodiak as an expression of our
14sympathy.
