| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of William L. Sandlin of Pekin, who passed |
| 4 | | away on March 20, 2011; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born November 22, 1937, in Peoria, to |
| 6 | | William A. and Lois Cottingham Sandlin; he later married Mary |
| 7 | | Schmeilski in Peoria; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, He was the owner and operator of S&S License and |
| 9 | | Title Service for many years, retiring in 2003; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his brothers, William |
| 11 | | A. Jr. and Douglas; and his parents; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, William Sandlin is survived by his wife; his |
| 13 | | daughter, Terrie; his sons, Thomas L. (Vicki), Michael A. |
| 14 | | (Susan), Timothy W. (Lisa), Troy A. (Melissa), and David E. |
| 15 | | (Dawn); his 20 grandchildren; his 24 great-grandchildren; his |
| 16 | | brothers, Robert (Corrine) and Clifford (Karen); and his |
| 17 | | sister, Carol J. (Kelly) Lancaster; therefore, be it
|
| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL |
| 19 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
| 20 | | his family and friends, the passing of William Sandlin; and be |
