SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Maurice P. Theisen, who passed away on 
4April 1, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Maurice Theisen was born on June 12, 1924, in 
6Alton; he was the son of the late Leo and Theresa (Show) 
7Theisen; he married Betty Bauer on May 7, 1994, at St. 
8Matthew's in Alton; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Maurice Theisen was a past VFW Commander of Alton 
10Post 1308; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Maurice Theisen enjoyed hunting and his 1942 Jeep; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Maurice Theisen was preceded in death by his 
14parents; his first wife, Twyla (Smith); and his brothers, Leo 
15Theisen and Robert Allen Theisen; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Maurice Theisen is survived by his wife, Betty; 
17his children, Marsha and her husband, Jim Jones, and Kevin 
18Theisen and his wife, Mary; his stepchildren, Linda and Lloyd 
19Acup and Larry Bauer; his sisters, Marjorie and her husband, 
20Walter Gallie, and June Stauder; his step-grandchildren,

1Christopher Williams and Carol Heisse; and his many 
2step-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5his family and friends, the passing of Maurice P. Theisen; and 
6be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Maurice Theisen as an expression of 
9our sympathy.
