SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Officer Dwayne Parks, who passed away 
4November 23, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Officer Parks had served with the Stroger Hospital 
6Police Department for 16 years; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Officer Parks previously served with the U.S. Air 
8Force as a security police officer for six years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Officer Parks maintained the star number 7504; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Officer Parks proudly served the law enforcement 
11community for 21 years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Officer Parks leaves behind a wife, 11 children, 
13and his mother; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Officer Parks dedicated and gave his life to 
15protecting and serving the people of Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
18his family and friends, the passing of Officer Dwayne Parks;

2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
3presented to the family of Officer Dwayne Parks as an 
4expression of our sympathy.
