SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Officer Michael Ronald Flisk, who passed 
4away on November 26, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Officer Flisk was employed by the Chicago Police 
6Department as a member of the Evidence Technician Team - South 
7Unit and served faithfully for almost 2 decades; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Both of Officer Flisk's sisters and one of his 
9brothers also serve as officers with the Chicago Police 
10Department; and
 
11    WHEREAS, The Chicago Police Department has retired Officer 
12Flisk's star, number 6962; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Officer Flisk was a proud member of the Chicago 
14Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Officer Flisk leaves behind his wife, his 
16daughter, and his 3 sons; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Officer Flisk dedicated and gave his life to 
18protecting and serving the people of the State of Illinois;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3his family, friends, and his Fraternal Order of Police brothers 
4and sisters, the passing of Officer Michael Flisk; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Officer Michael Flisk as an 
8expression of our sympathy.
