SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Norma Jean Weems of Batavia, who passed 
4away on August 15, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Norma Jean Weems was born on December 10, 1946, in 
6Laurel, Mississippi; her parents were Malphord and Mary Colenia 
7(Walden) Weems; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Norma Jean Weems was employed as the executive 
9assistant to the Kane County Board chairman for the past 17 
10years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Norma Jean Weems was preceded in death by her 
12parents; her brother, Malphord; Mickey and William Weems; and 
13her sister, Helen Murphy; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Norma Jean Weems is survived by her daughter, Lisa 
15Zilonis; her son, Robert Brown; her granddaughter, Sarah 
16Zilonis; her sisters, Evelyn Hinton, Nancy (Jerry) Michalek, 
17and Laverne (Alton) Daniels; her brothers, Ronald Weems and 
18Dale Weems; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with

1her family and friends, the passing of Norma Jean Weems; and be 
2it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
