SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Steve Munson of Elgin; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Steve Munson was a driving force in Elgin's 
5technology community; he was one of the first to lobby for 
6high-speed Internet access for downtown Elgin; he and his wife, 
7Illinois State Representative Ruth Munson, founded Everyware 
8Inc. in 1987; Everyware's clients included such companies as 
9AT&T; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Steve Munson was a crucial member of Elgin's 
11Downtown Neighborhood Association; he was also a member of the 
12United Way of Elgin board and a member of the First 
13Congregational Church in Elgin; and

  
 
14    WHEREAS, Steve Munson is survived by his wife, Illinois 
15State Representative Ruth Munson, and his children, Olivia and 
16Ryan; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
19his family and friends, the passing of Steve Munson; and be it

1    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
2presented to the family of Steve Munson as an expression of our 
3sympathy.
