| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of J.D. Walker of Chicago, who passed away |
| 4 | | on September 19, 2011; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born on October 16, 1935 to the late Jerry |
| 6 | | and Rose Walker in Columbus, Mississippi; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, In 1969, he married Lucille Miller; he worked for |
| 8 | | Bonton Meat Factory from 1982 to 1990; he later worked for G&M |
| 9 | | Brick Mason until his retirement; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, He was a 15 year cancer survivor; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his mother and father; |
| 12 | | his son, Lyndell; his sisters, Zola, Marie, and Dorothy; and |
| 13 | | his brothers, James and Williams; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, J.D. Walker is survived by his wife, Lucille; his |
| 15 | | daughters, Bridget, Sheila, Gloria, and Florence; his sons, |
| 16 | | Robert, Glen, Johnnie, and Dean; his 13 grandchildren; his one |
| 17 | | great-grandchild; his brother; and a host of nieces, nephews, |
| 18 | | other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
