SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Ambrose Frances Ferri of Waukegan, who 
4passed away on October 19, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ambrose Ferri retired from the United States Navy 
6in 1966 after many years of dedicated service to his nation; 
7and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, As a Pearl Harbor survivor, Ambrose Ferri was a 
9well known historian, speaker, and contributor to many 
10veterans' organizations; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Ambrose Ferri was preceded in death by his 3 
12brothers; his 2 sisters; his eldest son, Thomas M. Ferri; and 
13his son-in-law, Russell Alexander; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Ambrose Ferri is survived by his wife of 65 years, 
15Ruby Nasett Ferri; his sons, Daniel and David; his 
16daughter-in-law, Kathy (Washburn); his daughter, Patricia 
17Ferri Alexander; and his 7 grandchildren and 4 
18great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with

1his family and friends, the passing of Ambrose Frances Ferri; 
2and be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Ambrose Ferri as an expression of
