SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Joyce Nevins of Troy, Missouri, who 
4passed away on November 14, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born August 29, 1937 in New Madrid, 
6Missouri; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Joyce liked to crochet, quilt, work crossword 
8puzzles, and she dabbled in fishing; and

  
 
9    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her brothers and 
10sisters, Imogene Urich, Richard A. Coleman, Barbara S. Jarrett, 
11Michael E. Coleman, Phyllis Coleman, and Gerald Coleman; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Joyce Nevins was the cherished wife of Jerry 
13Nevins; the dear daughter of the late Richard C. and Weltha 
14Coleman; the cherished mother of Jerry (Joan) Nevins; the 
15beloved grandmother of Rebecca Nevins-Duncan, Laura Nevins, 
16Justin Nevins, Katherine Nevins, Ethan Nevins, and George 
17Nevins; the beloved great-grandmother of Cole Duncan and Roman 
18Watts; the dear sister of Wilma (Clifton) LeGrand, Paul E. 
19Coleman, Harold (Linda) Coleman, and Shirley (James) Smith; and 
20Joyce was loved by many other family and friends; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3her family and friends, the passing of Joyce Nevins; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Joyce Nevins as a symbol of our 
7sincere sympathy.
