SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert L. Henke of Edwardsville, who 
4passed away on November 11, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born February 21, 1949, in Granite City, 
6and was the son of the late Stephen M. and Esther (Cell) Henke; 
7he married Ethel N. Zeller on June 18, 1970; and

  
 
8    WHEREAS, He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving 
9from 1967 to 1971; he retired as a captain with the Madison 
10County Sheriff's Department where he worked for 33 years; upon 
11his retirement, he went to work for the Illinois Department of 
12Corrections as a parole supervisor; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in 
14Edwardsville; and
 
15    WHEREAS,
Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald 
16Henke; and a sister, Barbara Henke; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Henke is survived by his wife, Ethel; his 
18son, Brian Henke and his wife, Tara, and his daughter, Lisa 
19Henke; his grandchildren, Lucas Henke and Reese Mersinger; and 
20his brother, Stephen Michael Henke and wife, Carol; therefore,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
4his family and friends, the passing of Robert Henke; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Robert Henke as a symbol of our 
8sincere sympathy.
