| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Elizabeth Agnes Philyaw "Betsy" Boettle |
| 4 | | of Waukegan, who passed away on November 14, 2011; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, She was born in Zion on December 13, 1929 and |
| 6 | | settled in Waukegan to make a career as a legal secretary and |
| 7 | | bring up her family; she enjoyed music, family, friends, her |
| 8 | | dogs, and reading; she advocated for animal rescue and was a |
| 9 | | supporter of the local animal shelter; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, She was a gracious listener and will be remembered |
| 11 | | as being a constant and steadfast presence to many who knew and |
| 12 | | loved her; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha |
| 14 | | and A. Everett Philyaw; her husband; Walter Boettle; her |
| 15 | | brothers, Chester Philyaw, George Philyaw, and Raymond |
| 16 | | Philyaw; and her sister, June Strezo; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Agnes Philyaw "Betsy" Boettle is |
| 18 | | survived by her daughter, Roberta A. Ross; her son, Randy M. |
| 19 | | Ross; her sisters, Barbara Kessler and Pat Camper; her |
| 20 | | sister-in-law, Gladys Philyaw; her grandchildren, Rand Matthew |
| 21 | | Ross, Remington Ross, Katie Lynn Mucklevane, and Talon Vincente |
