SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Elizabeth K. Looze of McHenry, who passed away on November 19, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Looze was born on April 7, 1925, in Ringwood; her parents were Edward and Elizabeth (Pint) Thompson; she attended Ringwood School and Skidmore Farms Lincoln School before graduating from McHenry High School in 1943; she later attended night school for clerical and secretarial courses; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Looze lived in Omaha, Nebraska from 1952 until 1956, when she returned to McHenry; she was employed as a legal assistant for the Looze-Kinne Law Office for more than 40 years; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Looze was preceded in death by her husband, John Looze; her son, Robert Clark; her sister, Agnes (Nick) Adams; her brothers, John, Ed, George, Kenneth, and William Thompson; her sister-in-law, Isabell Thompson; and her former husband, Richard Clark; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Looze is survived by her children, Richard (Ernstiena) Clark and Susan (Allard) Bayne; her stepchildren, Ray (Helene) Looze, Don Looze, Jon K. (Donna) Looze, Richard Looze, and Jack (Judy) Looze; her grandchildren, Kimberly (Matthew) Erbtoeser, Kathryn (James) Palmquist, Nichlos Clark, Willem (Beth) Lulinski, Monique (Roger) Volkening, Allard IV (Suzanne) Bayne, Timothy (Summer) Bayne, and Shawn (Kelly) Bayne; her 16 great-grandchildren; her brothers, James Thompson and Charles Thompson; and her sister, Grace Mary (Marion) Messman; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Elizabeth K. Looze; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Elizabeth Looze as an expression of our sympathy.
