| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Colleen Mary (Kelleher) Sullivan of | ||||||
| 4 | Peoria, who passed away on December 10, 2011; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, She was born on June 13, 1924, in Volga, Iowa, and | ||||||
| 6 | raised in Elkader, Iowa, to Harry and Mary (Connor) Kelleher; | ||||||
| 7 | she married Harold T. (Tom) Sullivan; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic | ||||||
| 9 | Church of Peoria; she was a member of St. Patrick Society, was | ||||||
| 10 | the Mother of the Year in 1998, and was part of many other | ||||||
| 11 | charitable organizations; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, She worked at the Peoria County Courthouse for 33 | ||||||
| 13 | years, retiring as jury commissioner in 1999 at the age of 75; | ||||||
| 14 | and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, | ||||||
| 16 | J. M. "Sully" Sullivan; her 2 brothers; and 4 sisters; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Colleen Sullivan is survived by her children, | ||||||
| 18 | Margaret (Chuck) Walter, Mary (Dan) Arnold, Pat (Lark) | ||||||
| 19 | Sullivan, Susie Blasek, Tracy (John) Meisinger, Becky (John) | ||||||
| 20 | Blasek, Colleen (Dave) DeFord, Dodie (Steve) Gomer, and Maureen | ||||||

| 13 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 14 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 15 | her family and friends, the passing of Colleen Sullivan; and be | ||||||
| 16 | it further

| 17 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 18 | presented to the family of Colleen Sullivan as a symbol of our | ||||||
| 19 | sincere sympathy.
