SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Kristen Barnhart, who passed away on 
4January 13, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kristen Barnhart was born on December 4, 1968, in 
6Alton; she was the daughter of Raymond H. "Bud" and Janet "Jay" 
7M. (Mearsch) Galloway; she married Robert J. Barnhart on April 
827, 1996, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Kristen Barnhart was an active member of St. 
10Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Kristen Barnhart enjoyed spending time with her 
12children and volunteered for the children's classes and on 
13their field trips; she was an active volunteer of her son's 
14football team, the Alton Renegades, and in her daughter's 
15skating competitions at the East Alton Skating Academy and all 
16around the country; she also enjoyed the annual family trips to 
17Disney World and spending time outdoors; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Kristen Barnhart was preceded in death by her 
19father, Bud; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Kristen Barnhart is survived by her husband,

1Robert; her children, Abbi Barnhart and Alex Barnhart; her 
2mother, "Jay" Galloway; her sister, Tracy Galloway; and her 
3aunts and uncles, Pat Rodgers, Paul Mearsch, and Shirley Tovo; 
4therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
7her family and friends, the passing of Kristen Barnhart; and be 
8it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Kristen Barnhart as an expression of 
11our sympathy.
