SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Sue Ramsey of Mulkeytown, who passed away 
4on January 5, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born August 17, 1962, in Benton to Herbert 
6Ray and Wanda Jean (Johnson) Ramsey; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, She worked at the Appellate courthouse in Mount 
8Vernon as a deputy clerk for 31 years;

she was of the Baptist 
9faith; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, She was an avid basketball and softball player; 
11and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and her 
13brother, David Ramsey; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Sue Ramsey is survived by her special companion, 
15Brenda Taylor; their daughters, Megan Taylor and Chelsea and 
16Jesse Smith; their son, Kysen;

she was like a second mother to 
17her nieces and nephews, Mike and Melanie Jones, Jamie and John 
18Cambron, David and Ashley Ramsey, Lacey Ramsey, and Jessica and 
19Dennis West; she is also survived by her niece, Jennifer 
20Ramsey; her 6 great-nieces and nephews; her brothers and

1sisters, Donna and James Jones, Lynn Ramsey and Jeff Lawhorn, 
2and Ralph and Donna Ramsey; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5her family and friends, the passing of Sue Ramsey; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Sue Ramsey as a symbol of our 
9sincere sympathy.
