SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Mona L. Williams of Benton, who passed 
4away on January 9, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born December 5, 1934, in Sesser, the 
6daughter of Gilbert and Nancy (Phillips) Galloway; she married 
7Arthur Williams on December 31, 1953; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, She grew up attending Hazel Dell Free Will Baptist 
9Church in Sesser; in later years, she attended Immanuel Baptist 
10Church in Benton; she was a secretary at Benton High School for 
1125 years, the last 19 of those years were with the athletic 
12department; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her 
14husband; and her brother, Don Galloway; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Mona Williams is survived by her son, Dwayne 
16Williams and  her daughter, Pam Williams Walden and husband, 
17Joe; her grandsons, Arthur Gwayne Williams and Hunter Williams 
18Foltz; her sisters, LaDonna Kalish and husband, Jim, and Brenda 
19Bradley; her brothers, Doyle Galloway and wife, Earlene, 
20Delbert Galloway and wife, Phyllis, and Dean Galloway and wife, 
21Mary Lou; her sister-in-law, Helen Galloway; and several

1nieces, nephews and cousins; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
4her family and friends, the passing of Mona Williams; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Mona Williams as a symbol of our 
8sincere sympathy.
