| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of
Roberta L. "Bobbie" Vandalia, who passed |
| 4 | | away on January 16, 2012; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Roberta Vandalia was born on January 7, 1945, in |
| 6 | | Alton; she was the daughter of Robert and Pat (Brown) Wohlert; |
| 7 | | she married Robert L. Vandalia on August 7, 1969, in Alton; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Roberta Vandalia was the owner and operator of |
| 9 | | Golden Shears Hair Studio in Alton; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Roberta Vandalia was a member of the College |
| 11 | | Avenue Presbyterian Church in Alton, where she served as an |
| 12 | | elder and deacon; she served as a Stephen Minister, head of the |
| 13 | | Aids Interfaith Response Group, and head of the Aids Support |
| 14 | | Group at the church; she also conceived and organized the |
| 15 | | annual community Christmas dinner; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Roberta Vandalia was a talented artist; she also |
| 17 | | built and furnished doll houses and made bread dough flowers; |
| 18 | | and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Roberta Vandalia is survived by her husband, |
| 20 | | Robert L. Vandalia; her sister and brother-in-law, Zona and |
