SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Theresa Faye "T" Turner of North Chicago, who passed away on January 13, 2012; and

WHEREAS, She was born on March 18, 1954 in Waukegan, to the union of Sam and Beulah (Ballenger) Turner; she graduated from North Chicago Community High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Chicago; and

WHEREAS, She retired from the Waukegan Yacht Club after 22 years of service as a Head Chef; she had been currently working for Morale Welfare and Recreation Service, at Great Lakes, and the Avenue Stores at Vernon Hills; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Beulah and Sam Turner; her grandparents, Elenora and Richard Ballenger; her sister, Rosa (Turner) Williams; her brothers, Felton Turner and Robert 'Bobby" Turner; her niece, Elvia Johnson; her uncles, Scott and William Ballenger and Clarence Turner; and her aunts, Gertrude (Ballenger) Harden, Ann (Ballenger) Ransom, and Eloise Turner; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Turner is survived by her brothers, Richard (Kathy Baker) Turner and Kevin Turner; her sisters, Betty (Leroy) Johnson, Mildred Adams, and Carolyn (John Sr.) Williams; her aunts, Mary (Cyrus) Wakefield and Eloise Shelton; a very special niece, Katrina Denise Johnson; and numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends; and her special friend, Katie Whaley (Willie C. Scafe); therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Theresa Turner; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Theresa Turner as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
