| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Allen Thomas "Sam" Wiggins of Park City, |
| 4 | | who passed away on January 20, 2012; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born February 16, 1926 in Elgin, and |
| 6 | | married Bernice Szczepanek on September 2, 1950 at Holy Rosary |
| 7 | | Church in North Chicago; he was a member of Queen of Peace |
| 8 | | Church and the Fleet Reserve; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean |
| 10 | | War and retired from the United States Navy in December, 1964 |
| 11 | | after 23 years of service as a Chief Commissary Officer; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, He was an avid golfer and had a hole-in-one on the |
| 13 | | 11th green at Foss Park; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his 3 |
| 15 | | sisters; his 2 brothers; and his son-in-law, Ronald; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Allen Wiggins is survived by his wife, Bernice; |
| 17 | | his children, Richard (Kim) Wiggins, Rosemarie (Richard) |
| 18 | | Jennings, Racheal Wiggins-Kolb, and Roxann (Manuel) Casillas; |
| 19 | | his 6 grandchildren; his 4 great-grandchildren; his 3 brothers; |
| 20 | | and his 2 sisters; he was also everyone's favorite uncle; |
