SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
William Charles Burnside of Danville, who 
4passed away on January 27, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, William Burnside was born on October 23, 1936, in 
6Grandview; he was the son of William Darrell and Juanita 
7(Greason) Burside;  he married Lola Fern Shoeheart on October 
810, 1976; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, William Burnside was president and founder of the 
10William C. Burnside and Company Inc. for 39 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, William Burnside was fondly referred to as "Hot 
12Wheels" Burnside, because of his love of automobile racing; he 
13was actively involved in the Eastern Illinois University 
14Foundation, Danville Area Community College Scholarship 
15Foundation, Danville Rescue Mission, Fellowship of Christian 
16Athletes, American Heart Association, and American Cancer 
17Society; he also was an active member of the Danville Alliance 
18Church and was involved in numerous Bible study groups; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, William Burnside was preceded in death by his 
20parents and his daughter, Belinda Giovinco; and

1    WHEREAS, William Burnside is survived by his wife, Lola; 
2his children, William (Michelle) Burnside, Tyler Burnside, 
3Scott (Mary) Trovillion, and Mitzi Benard; his 12 
4grandchildren; his 2 great-grandchildren; and his brother, 
5Thomas (Ruth) Burnside; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
8his family and friends, the passing of William Charles 
9Burnside; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of William Burnside as an expression of 
12our sympathy.
