SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Richard F. Balla of St. Charles, who 
4passed away on January 31, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Balla was born on October 11, 1937, in 
6Chicago; his parents were Frank and Louise Balla; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Richard Balla was raised in Cicero; he served his 
8country as a member of the United States Air Force; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Richard Balla was the former vice president of 
10Fischer Imaging Corporation and Trex Medical; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Richard Balla was active in his community as a 
12volunteer at St. Patrick's Catholic Church; he was also a 
13former Republican committeeman in St. Charles and worked at the 
14Pottawatomie Golf Course; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Richard Balla was preceded in death by his 
16parents; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Richard Balla is survived by his beloved wife, 
18Marie; his children, Christine (Steve) Young, Pamela (David) 
19Dibblee, Richard, Jr., and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Devyn

1and Caroline Young; his brother, Thomas (Mary Carol); his 
2sister, Fran; his sister-in-law, Clare Gajewski; his 
3brother-in-law, Matt Gajewski; his nieces; his nephew; and his 
4many cousins and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
7his family and friends, the passing of Richard F. Balla; and be 
8it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Richard Balla as an expression of 
11our sympathy.
