SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Helen E. Grom of Sun City West, Arizona, 
4formerly of North Chicago, who passed away on December 27, 
52011; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Helen E. Tucka was born July 9, 1930 in North 
7Chicago; she married Rudolph B. Grom on August 13, 1949; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, In Arizona, she was a member of the Our Lady of 
9Lourdes Women's Club, the Illinois Club, Prides, Echo Mesa 
10Women's Golf Club, the Bocce Club, and St. Mary's #79; she 
11volunteered at Boswell Hospital, Friday Night Bingo, and the 
12local food pantry; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents, John and 
14Anna (Gulan) Tucka; her son, Lawrence; her brothers, John Jr., 
15Stephen, and Rudolph; and her sisters, Ann Couch and Emilia 
16Patmor; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Helen Grom is survived by her husband of 62 years, 
18Rudolph B.; her sons, Rudolph Jr. and Terrence (Theresa); and 
19her grandchildren, Lawrence, Douglas, Jeffrey, Terrence Jr., 
20and Janet; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3her family and friends, the passing of Helen Grom; and be it 
4further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Helen Grom as a symbol of our 
7sincere sympathy.
