SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert "Bobby" Ross of Waukegan, who 
4passed away on February 8, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born to Marvin and Lois Ross on February 
627, 1955 in Waukegan and was a member of St. Anastasia Church 
7in Waukegan; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, He loved people, sports, music, cooking, and 
9driving his pontoon boat; he was a life long Chicago Bears fan, 
10loved all kinds of music, and found great joy in cooking for 
11his friends and family; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, He was a true friend to many and had a generous 
13heart; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin 
15Ross; his brother, Ed Ross; and his stepfather Everett Burkett; 
16and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Ross is survived by his mother, Lois (nee 
18Warack) Ross Burkett; his wife, Cheryl Ross; his daughter, 
19Katie Ross; his grandson, Marvin Ross; his nieces, Maggie (Joe) 
20Harmsen and Halley Ross; and his many cousins and loving

1friends; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
4his family and friends, the passing of Robert Ross; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Robert Ross as a symbol of our 
8sincere sympathy.
