SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Thomas "Tom" Patrick Horn, who passed 
4away on March 2, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Horn was born on January 2, 1955, in Alton; 
6he was the son of James F. and Mary Ann (Accario) Horn Sr.; he 
7married Cindy Ponzetti on June 5, 1992, in St. Catherine's 
8Catholic Church in Cahokia; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Thomas Horn was the owner and operator of Big 
10Tom's Meat Market in Cahokia; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Thomas Horn was a member of Holy Family Catholic 
12Church and the Knights of Columbus in Cahokia; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Thomas Horn enjoyed fishing, hunting, and 
14woodworking; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Thomas Horn was preceded in death by his father, 
16James F. Horn Sr.; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Thomas Horn is survived by his wife, Cindy; his 
18mother, Mary Ann (Accario) Horn; his children and their 
19spouses, Michael and Dawn Presson and Christine and Ross

1Vandever; his grandchildren, Clara Presson, Ross Vandever IV, 
2and Justin Vandever; his siblings and their spouses, Jim and 
3Cheri Horn, Tim and Vicki Horn, Ann (Horn) Parker, Matt and 
4Laura Horn, Dennis and Jenny Horn, and Chris and Dana Horn; and 
5his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; 
6therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
9his family and friends, the passing of Thomas "Tom" Patrick 
10Horn; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Thomas Horn as an expression of our 
13sympathy.
