SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Naidene Johns, who passed away on March
49, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Naidene Johns was born on October 4, 1927, in
6Stoddard, Missouri; she was the daughter of Garnett and Virgie
7May (McFerron) Ramsey; she married Calvin E. Johns on March 5,
81947, in Alton; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Naidene Johns had worked during her life for
10Owens-Illinois Glass and Merle Norman Cosmetics; she also sold
11Watkins and Shaklee Products; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Naidene Johns was a member of the Heartland
13Quilter and belonged to several bowling leagues, including the
14O-I Ladies Bowling League; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Naidene Johns enjoyed spending time with her
16family and cooking for family gatherings and holidays; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Naidene Johns was preceded in death by her
18husband; her parents; her son, Terry Lynn Johns; her
19grandchildren, Jimmee and Adam Johns; and her siblings, D.J.
20Ramsey and Thelma Hannon; and

1    WHEREAS, Naidene Johns is survived by her sons and
2daughters-in-law, Barry and Pat Johns, Danny Johns, Randy and
3Rebecca Johns, Steven Johns, and Scott and Jean Johns; her
4grandchildren, Jason Johns, Lindsey Johns, Patrick (Stacy)
5Johns, Stephanie (Jay) Sinclair, Lauren Johns, Sam Johns, and
6Aryn (J.C.) Bierbaum; and her 5 great-grandchildren;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10her family and friends, the passing of Naidene Johns; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Naidene Johns as an expression of
14our sympathy.
