| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate were saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Sharon Rose McGuire, who passed away | ||||||
| 4 | on February 17, 2012; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Sharon Rose was raised in Aurora; she later | ||||||
| 6 | attended and graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in | ||||||
| 7 | Evanston, and proudly celebrated her 50th anniversary with her | ||||||
| 8 | classmates in the summer of 2011; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Sharon Rose remained a dedicated and active nurse | ||||||
| 10 | through her sudden passing, always staying true to the motto | ||||||
| 11 | "Vita Aliis Vota" - a life devoted to others; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Sharon Rose was the beloved wife of Daniel F.; the | ||||||
| 13 | loving mother of Daniel F. III (Monika), Michael (Mary Kay), | ||||||
| 14 | and Jodi Maureen McGuire; the loving "Gramma" of Lucy, Mikey, | ||||||
| 15 | Brigitte, Johnny, and Nicole; the dear sister of William (Mary | ||||||
| 16 | Jo) and James (Barbara) MacDonald, the late Mary Jean (the late | ||||||
| 17 | Paul) Rohr, Rita (the late Edward) Stare, and Maureen (the late | ||||||
| 18 | Patrick) O'Sullivan; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Sharon Rose was a dedicated aunt and godmother and | ||||||
| 20 | trusted lifelong friend to many; she nourished each and every | ||||||
| 21 | relationship she had; and
| ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | WHEREAS, Sharon Rose accepted her diagnosis of cancer with | ||||||
| 2 | faith and courage, which were the pillars of her life and | ||||||
| 3 | attributes that she always encouraged in her family; and | ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Sharon Rose celebrated life to its fullest; her | ||||||
| 5 | love of celebration was truly a gift that she lovingly passed | ||||||
| 6 | on to each of her children and "grand darlings", a gift for | ||||||
| 7 | which they are eternally grateful; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Sharon Rose will be dearly missed by Dan, her | ||||||
| 9 | devoted husband of 48 years; her children and their spouses; | ||||||
| 10 | her grand darlings, who were the center of her life; her other | ||||||
| 11 | relatives; her nursing friends and classmates from St. Francis; | ||||||
| 12 | her multitude of friends, especially the Estes Avenue Bridge | ||||||
| 13 | Group, of which she was a member for 40 years; and by all the | ||||||
| 14 | members of St. Margaret Mary Parish, especially the parish's | ||||||
| 15 | children; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 17 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 18 | her family and friends, the passing of Sharon Rose McGuire; and | ||||||
| 19 | be it further
| ||||||
| 20 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 21 | presented to the family of Sharon McGuire as an expression of | ||||||
| |||||||
