SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Ruth A. Willcox of Sebring, Florida, 
4formerly of Park City, who passed away on March 28, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ruth Willcox was born on January 20, 1920, in Fort 
6Dodge, Iowa; after living in Park City for many years, she 
7moved to Sebring, Florida to be with her daughter in 2010; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Ruth Willcox served as Park City Collector for 37 
9years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ruth Willcox was named "Woman of the Year" by the 
11Illinois Lieutenant Governor and was the recipient of a 
12"Certificate of Recognition" for her many years of service from 
13the Illinois House of Representatives; in 2004, Park City named 
14a street in her honor, Ruth Willcox Avenue; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Ruth Willcox loved cats and watching the Chicago 
16Cubs; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Ruth Willcox was preceded in death by her husband, 
18Howard Willcox; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Ruth Willcox is survived by her daughter, Sherron

1(Kenneth) Rizzotto; her sons, Terry (Mirna) Willcox and Michael 
2(Marti) Willcox; her grandchildren, Janeen (Carlos) Berrios, 
3Tracy Fuller, Deanna Otero, Michael Willcox, and Paul Fuller; 
4and her great-grandchildren, Krysteena, Felicia, Lisette, and 
5Antonio; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
8her family and friends, the passing of Ruth A. Willcox; and be 
9it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of Ruth Willcox as an expression of our 
12sympathy.
