SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Randy Starkey of Hettick, who passed away 
4on May 21, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Randy Starkey was born on July 12, 1960, in Alton; 
6his parents were Richard and Joyce (Bergman) Starkey; he 
7married Janna Sonneborn on February 28, 1986, in Hannibal, 
8Missouri; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Randy Starkey graduated from Carlinville High 
10School with the class of 1978; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Randy Starkey was the owner and operator of 
12Sonneborn Transportation in Hettick and was an integral part of 
13Sonneborn Brothers Trucking; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Randy Starkey enjoyed cooking and spent many 
15wonderful evenings enjoying his hobby with his family and 
16friends; he also enjoyed playing cards with his friends; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Randy Starkey was preceded in death by his father; 
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Randy Starkey is survived by his loving spouse of

126 years, Janna; his daughter, Kelsey Starkey; his mother, 
2Joyce Starkey; his brothers, Rick Starkey (wife, Lori) and 
3Ramsey Starkey (wife, Nikki); his sister, Rachel Ellenbecker 
4(husband, Joey); his father and mother-in-law, Bill and Donna 
5Sonneborn; his sister-in-law, Tammy Dugan (husband, Ron); and 
6his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
9his family and friends, the passing of Randy Starkey; and be it 
10further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Randy Starkey as an expression of 
13our sympathy.
