SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Dale Shannon Dawdy of Godfrey, who passed 
4away on May 25, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born on July 23, 1971, in Hillsboro, to 
6Dick and Loretta (Smay) Dawdy of Godfrey; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, He was a Foreman, Job Planer, and a Journeyman 
8Tree Trimmer for Shadetree Tree Service in Fenton, Missouri; he 
9was a member of IBEW Union Local No. 2 of St. Louis, Missouri; 
10and

  
 
11    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his maternal 
12grandmother, Mary Imogene (Bilbruck) Smay; and his paternal 
13grandparents, Arthur and Irma (Price) Dawdy; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Dale Shannon Dawdy is survived by his parents, 
15Dick and Loretta Dawdy; his sister, Autume and George Goeken; 
16his grandfather, the Reverend Leslie Smay Sr.; his step-niece, 
17Chrystina M. Goeken; his step-nephews, John K. Goeken and 
18George W. Goeken V; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; 
19therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
2his family and friends, the passing of Dale Shannon Dawdy; and

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Dale Shannon Dawdy as a symbol of 
6our sincere sympathy.
