SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Carter Jack Stewart; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Carter Stewart was the son of the late Irene 
5(Harazak) Stewart and Jack Stewart; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Carter Stewart enjoyed the proximity of Lake 
7Michigan to his family home and was an avid sailor; he served 
8as a sailing instructor at the Great Lakes Naval Training 
9Center; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Carter Stewart was a member of the Anchorage Yacht 
11Club for several years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Carter Stewart was preceded in death by his aunts, 
13Helen and Sylvia, and his uncle, Edward; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Carter Stewart is survived by his aunts, Joan 
15Livieri, Evelyne Stickler, and Catherine Emanuel; and his good 
16friend and caregiver, Portia Carmichael, and her son, Douglas; 
17therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with

1his family and friends, the passing of Carter Jack Stewart; and 
2be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Carter Stewart as an expression of 
5our sympathy.
