| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of
Michael Simkin; and

| 4 | | WHEREAS, Michael Simkin was born and raised in Chicago; he |
| 5 | | lived in Highland Park for 20 years; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Michael Simkin was the beloved husband of Merle, |
| 7 | | nee Robinson; the loving father of Jason (Prudence) Simkin, |
| 8 | | Melissa Simkin, and Bryan Simkin; the proud grandfather of |
| 9 | | Elijah and Jonah; the dear brother of Louise (Sheldon) Stein, |
| 10 | | Sonny (Sheila) Simkin, Kathy (Ron) Muller, the late Miriam (the |
| 11 | | late Martin) Rosenstein, Joan (the late Donald) Schact, and |
| 12 | | Paula (Richard) Balko; and the cherished brother-in-law of |
| 13 | | Joyce (Glant) Cohen; he will also be dearly missed by his many |
| 14 | | devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends; |
| 15 | | therefore, be it

| 16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL |
| 17 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
