| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of
Rosemary White Mitchell, who passed away |
| 4 | | on June 30, 2012; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Mitchell was born on April 10, 1919, in |
| 6 | | Sesser; she married Amos H. Mitchell on January 20, 1945, in |
| 7 | | Sesser; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Mitchell graduated from Goode-Barren |
| 9 | | Township High School; she was the oldest living member of First |
| 10 | | United Methodist Church in Sesser, having attended there all of |
| 11 | | her life; she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at |
| 12 | | the age of 14 and was a living witness to all who knew her; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Mitchell enjoyed sewing and playing the |
| 14 | | piano and organ at church and at home; she was also well known |
| 15 | | as an outstanding cook and spent many hours in the kitchen with |
| 16 | | her grandchildren, teaching them the art of cooking; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Mitchell was preceded in death by her |
| 18 | | parents, Isaac Demetrius White and Anna Lucille Shepard White |
| 19 | | Harrison; her sisters, Marjorie A. Dame and Norma Lee Dame; and |
| 20 | | her brothers, Allen Emery White and Donald Eugene White; and
