SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply 
3saddened to learn of the death of Henry D. "Dale" Gilbert of 
4Pawnee, who passed away on June 8, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Henry Gilbert was born in Springfield on July 16, 
61942, to Henry J. and Margaret M. Sprouse Gilbert; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Henry Gilbert worked for the State of Illinois 
8Department of Revenue as a Data Input Operator for many years; 
9he retired from there in 1991; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Henry Gilbert was an auctioneer; he loved going to 
11auctions with his nephew, seeking out special and unique items; 
12he was a past member of the Pawnee Lion's Club, a member of 
13AARP, and a member of Pawnee United Methodist Church; he served 
14as an election judge and also served on the Zoning Board in 
15Pawnee; he was an avid BINGO player and devoted his time to 
16family and friends, never missing his niece and nephews events 
17and activities; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Henry Gilbert was preceded in death by his 
19parents, Henry and Margaret Smith; several aunts and uncles; 
20and his nephew, Jerry Lyons; and

1    WHEREAS, Henry Gilbert is survived by his sisters, Sandra 
2Myers and Mary Lyons; his nieces and nephews, Sherri (Marcus) 
3Schnetz, Bob (Mary Beth) Myers, Mark (Jackie) Myers, Keith 
4(Shelia) Myers, and Dr. Kris (Steve) Myers-Stuenkel; his great 
5nieces and nephews, Zachary, Noah, Tayler, Alex, and Wesley 
6Myers, Christopher Pettit, and Joey Stuenkel; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
9Henry Gilbert, and we extend our sincere condolences to his 
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
11further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Henry Gilbert as an expression of 
14our deepest sympathy.
