SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Michael John Dukewich of Rolling Meadows, 
4who passed away on September 29, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Dukewich was born on August 22, 1954, in 
6Chicago; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Michael Dukewich graduated from Elk Grove High 
8School in 1972; he subsequently earned his degree from Florida 
9International University in 1976; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Following in his father's footsteps, Michael 
11Dukewich became an award-winning cameraman for ABC Channel 7 
12News; for 35 years, he served as a proud and committed member 
13of the Chicago News Team, showing his true passion for his 
14craft in every story he covered; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Michael Dukewich enjoyed golfing and was a gifted 
16storyteller; he also enjoyed watching his son, Clay, play 
17football at Fremd High School; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Michael Dukewich was the beloved husband of 
19Christy (Poston) Dukewich; the father of Clay Dukewich; the son 
20of Carol and the late John Dukewich; the brother of Sandra

1Andrews and Nancy Dukewich; the son-in-law of Sue (Dan) Walton 
2and Gene (Lisa) Poston; the brother-in-law of Carrie and Scott 
3Woodruff and Candace and Jeff Matthers; and the uncle of Dawn 
4Diliberto, Anna and Dana Sedgwick, Al Michael Velasco, and 
5Olivia Woodruff; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
8his family and friends, the passing of Michael John Dukewich; 
9and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of Michael Dukewich as an expression of 
12our sympathy.
