SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Michael Stephen Schwab of Carlinville, 
4who passed away on May 10, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Schwab was born on December 1, 1955, in 
6Carlinville; his parents were Albert and Mary (McCarthy) 
7Schwab; he married Jill Tieman on June 17, 1983, in 
8Carlinville; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Michael Schwab graduated from Carlinville High 
10School in 1973; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Michael Schwab was a grain and livestock farmer in 
12Honey Point Township for over 40 years; he also worked as a 
13mechanic for the Smith Equipment Company; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Michael Schwab was a member of Ss. Mary and Joseph 
15Catholic Church in Carlinville; he was also a member of the 
16Macoupin County Fair Board and the Carlinville Moose Lodge and 
17the founder of the "Kahuna Club"; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Michael Schwab enjoyed hunting, cooking, camping, 
19and giving his grandson tractor rides; and

1    WHEREAS, Michael Schwab is survived by his wife, Jill; his 
2daughters, Amanda J. Steward (Jacob) and Taylor A. Schwab; his 
3son, Quenton A. Schwab; his grandson, Carter Zilm; his parents, 
4Albert and Mary Schwab; his brothers, Patrick J. Schwab 
5(Michelle) and Kevin L. Schwab (Jessica); his sister, Sandra D. 
6Schwab (Shane); and his nephew and 3 nieces; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
9his family and friends, the passing of Michael Stephen Schwab; 
10and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Michael Schwab as an expression of 
13our sympathy.
