SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply 
3saddened to learn of the death of Kathleen A. "Kate" Eldred of 
4Carlinville, who passed away on October 1, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kathleen Eldred was born on January 17, 1937, to 
6Ollie and Nellie Martin (nee Greenan) in Mount Olive; she 
7graduated from Carlinville High School in 1954 and married Jon 
8Eldred on January 16, 1960, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in 
9Carlinville; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Kathleen Eldred was a homemaker; she loved 
11spending time with her grandchildren, golfing, shopping, 
12walking, and reading; she was a member of Ss. Mary and Joseph 
13Catholic Church in Carlinville; and
  
 
  
14    WHEREAS, Kathleen Eldred was preceded in death by her 
15parents, Ollie and Nellie Martin; her brothers, Bud, Bill, 
16John, and Jim Martin; and her sisters, Marian Greenan and 
17Eileen Drew; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Kathleen Eldred is survived by her husband, Jon; 
19her son, Andy Eldred; her daughter, Kim (Mark) Mehrkens; her 
20grandchildren, Alex Eldred, Seth Mehrkens, and Madalyn 
21Mehrkens; her brother, Dick (Sandy) Martin; and several nieces

1and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Kathleen Eldred, and we extend our sincere condolences to her 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Kathleen Eldred as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
