SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of Orville St. Peter "Pat"
4Clavey of Waukegan, who passed away on November 20, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey was born on October 3, 1932,
6in Deerfield to Harry and Marion Clavey; he married Joan
7Tessman on May 11, 1957, in St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan;
8he served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and had
9been attached to the First Marine Division; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey was the coroner and sheriff
11of Lake County; after his career in law enforcement, he began
12USA Janitorial Service in Gurnee, which he owned until his
13retirement in 2000; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey was a member of Gurnee
15Community Church, past commander of and 50 year member of the
16Gurnee American Legion #771, and member of Zion-Benton Moose
17Lodge #1027; he was a graduate of Brean Bible School and loved
18reading the bible, which he did every morning and night; he
19enjoyed making various objects out of toothpicks such as
20houses, motorcycles, boats, and trains; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey was preceded in death by his

1son, Glen and his parents, Harry and Marion Clavey; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey is survived by his wife of 55
3years, Joan; his daughter, Jean (David) Hengesh; his son George
4Clavey; his grandchildren, Christina Clavey and Daniel and
5Kimberly Hengesh; his nieces and nephews, Susan (Steve),
6Jennifer (Robert), James (Evie), Jeffrey (Mayed), John Wicks,
7and John and David Beemsterboer; his brother, Harry "Ted"
8(Lorraine) Clavey; his sisters, Alyce (Joseph) Beemsterboer
9and Geraldine (Gerald) Wicks; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Orville "Pat" Clavey, and we extend our sincere condolences to
13his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Orville "Pat" Clavey as an
17expression of our deepest sympathy.
