| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Thomas J. "Tom" Cook of Oswego, who |
| 4 | | passed away on November 28, 2012; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Cook graduated from Mt. Carmel High School |
| 6 | | in Chicago in 1957; he was very active with the school's Alumni |
| 7 | | Group; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Cook worked with the R.C. Wegman |
| 9 | | Construction Company on many local projects, his proudest being |
| 10 | | the Hollywood Casino in Aurora; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Cook was a proud member of many |
| 12 | | associations and organizations within the Aurora community, |
| 13 | | including the Rotary Club, the Aurora Contractors Association, |
| 14 | | the Fox Valley Corvette Club, and the Aurora Economic |
| 15 | | Development Commission; he was also co-chairman of the |
| 16 | | Millennium Plaza of Aurora, chairman of the board of 'Seize the |
| 17 | | Future', and a past chairman of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce; |
| 18 | | and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Cook was a member of the New Life Church in |
| 20 | | Yorkville and served on the church's Board of Directors; and |
