Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Criminal Code of 2012. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning possession of explosives or explosive or incendiary devices.

720 ILCS 5/12-2from Ch. 38, par. 12-2
720 ILCS 5/12-3.05was 720 ILCS 5/12-4

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Criminal Code of 2012. Provides that a person commits aggravated assault when, in committing an assault, he or she knows the individual assaulted to be a nurse performing his or her duties. Provides that a violation is a Class 4 felony. Provides that a person commits aggravated battery when, in committing a battery, other than by discharge of a firearm, he or she knows the individual battered to be a nurse performing his or her duties. Provides that a violation is a Class 3 felony.
