Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Public Water District Act. Provides authorization to construct, maintain, and operate any conduit or conduits, water pipe or pipes, wholly or partially buried or otherwise in, upon, and along a highway so long as they remain within the legal boundaries of any easement or right-of-way possessed by the State provided that the appropriate highway authority has granted consent. Amends the Illinois Highway Code. Provides that consent given to public water districts by the appropriate highway authority is binding on any owner of the fee over which or under which the highway or road is located and relieves the entity granted that consent from obtaining by purchase, condemnation, or otherwise the necessary approval of any owner of the fee over or under which the highway or road is located.
