Fiscal Note (Drycleaner Environ Resp Trust Fund) | |
House Bill 6129 provides the annual appropriation from Other State Funds for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Drycleaner Environmental Response Trust Fund for the fiscal year beginning July l, 2014. The Drycleaner Environmental Response Trust Fund was created by Public Act 90-502 as a special fund. This appropriation is the sole appropriation for the Drycleaner Environmental Response Trust Fund. No General Revenue Funds are part of this appropriation. All monies appropriated for the Drycleaner Environmental Response Trust Fund are paid into this special fund by the drycleaning industry for the purposes of remediating sites contaminated by drycleaning solvents, protecting human health, and public safety, and promoting pollution prevention. Without this annual appropriation, the Drycleaner Environmental Response Trust Fund would have no spending authority for fiscal year 2014. |
