Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Counties Code. Provides that a court services fee shall not exceed $25 unless the fee is set according to an acceptable cost study under the Code.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Wireless Emergency Telephone Safety Act. Provides that a wireless carrier shall transfer the amount of the wireless carrier surcharge collected from each subscriber to the Illinois Commerce Commission for deposit with the State Treasurer. Provides that the $0.02 surcharge collected and deposited into the Wireless Service Emergency Fund shall be distributed in equal amounts to each County Emergency Telephone System Board or qualified governmental entity in certain counties that is authorized to serve as a primary wireless 9-1-1 public safety answering point for the county and to provide wireless 9-1-1 service, and which does provide such service. Effective immediately.
