AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 756 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 756, AS AMENDED, 
3with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 
41 as follows:
 
5on page 1, lines 15 through 16, by replacing "Furthermore, the 
6public sale or disposition of the vehicle shall discharge any 
7fines, fees, or" with "Furthermore, any proceeds from the 
8public sale of the vehicle shall be applied to any fines, fees, 
9or"; and


 
10on page 19, line 8, by inserting after "agents," the following: 
11"any proceeds from the sale, salvage, or disposal of the 
12vehicle shall be deducted from"; and
 
13on page 19, lines 14 through 15, by replacing "fees, shall be 
14considered discharged." with "fees."; and

1on page 27, line 18, by replacing "may shall" with "shall"; and
 
2on page 27, line 19, by replacing "disposed of" with "sold 
3disposed of"; and
 
4on page 27, lines 20 through 23, by replacing "If the county or 
5municipality takes title to the vehicle or if the vehicle is 
6disposed of the person who was the registered owner at the time 
7of the vehicle's impoundment shall be discharged of any fines," 
8with "After the sale of the vehicle is completed, the person 
9who was the registered owner at the time of the vehicle's 
10impoundment is entitled to have the proceeds of that sale 
11deducted from any fines,".
