AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1225 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1225 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
4    "Section 5. The School Code is amended  by adding Section 
522-80 as follows:
 
6    (105 ILCS 5/22-80 new)
7    Sec. 22-80. CPR training video.
8    (a) In this Section: 
9    "Interscholastic athletics" means all athletic contests or

10competitions conducted between or among school entities. 
11    "School entity" means a public school, school district, or 
12nonpublic school recognized by the State Board of Education. 
13    (b) A school entity shall require all physical education 
14teachers and all coaches and referees of interscholastic 
15athletics, student athletes, and athletic trainers to annually 
16watch a training video, provided free of charge to the entity

1and of no more than 15 minutes in length, on hands-only 
2cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external 
3defibrillators.
 

4    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
5becoming law.".
