| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1225 on page 1, |
| 3 | | immediately below line 19, by inserting the following:

| 4 | | "(c) Any person who has watched the training video in |
| 5 | | accordance with this Section and who in good faith, not for |
| 6 | | compensation, provides emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation |
| 7 | | in accordance with this training to a person who is an apparent |
| 8 | | victim of acute cardiopulmonary insufficiency is not, as the |
| 9 | | result of his or her acts or omissions in providing |
| 10 | | resuscitation, liable for civil damages, unless the acts or |
| 11 | | omissions constitute willful or wanton misconduct. |
| 12 | | (d) As provided in Section 30 of the Automated External |
| 13 | | Defibrillator Act, any automated external defibrillator user |
| 14 | | who in good faith and without fee or compensation renders |
| 15 | | emergency medial care involving the use of an automated |
| 16 | | external defibrillator in accordance with his or her training |
| 17 | | is not liable for any civil damages as a result of any act or |
| 18 | | omission, except for willful or wanton misconduct, by that |
