| 1 | | AN ACT concerning criminal law.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Unified Code of Corrections is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 3-5-3 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (730 ILCS 5/3-5-3) (from Ch. 38, par. 1003-5-3)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 3-5-3. Annual and other Reports.
|
| 8 | | (a) The Director shall make an annual report to the |
| 9 | | Governor and General Assembly concerning persons committed to |
| 10 | | the Department, its
institutions, facilities and programs, of |
| 11 | | all moneys expended and received,
and on what accounts expended |
| 12 | | and received.
|
| 13 | | (a-5) The annual report shall include the class of offense, |
| 14 | | age, race, ethnicity, and last known zip code of each person |
| 15 | | committed to a Department facility for a drug-related offense. |
| 16 | | The report shall be provided to each member of the General |
| 17 | | Assembly and shall be made available on the Department's |
| 18 | | website. For the purposes of this subsection (5), "drug" means |
| 19 | | "cannabis" as defined in subsection (a) of Section 3 of the
|
| 20 | | Cannabis Control Act, "controlled substance" as defined in |
| 21 | | subsection (f) of
Section 102
of the Illinois Controlled |
| 22 | | Substances Act, or "methamphetamine" as defined in Section 10 |
| 23 | | of the Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act. |
