AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1250 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1250 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:


 
4    "Section 5. The Unified Code of Corrections is amended by 
5changing Section 3-5-3 as follows:
 



6    (730 ILCS 5/3-5-3)  (from Ch. 38, par. 1003-5-3)



7    Sec. 3-5-3. Annual and other Reports. 

8    (a) The Director shall make an annual report to the 
9Governor and General Assembly concerning persons committed to 
10the Department, its
institutions, facilities and programs, of 
11all moneys expended and received,
and on what accounts expended 
12and received.

13    (a-5) The annual report shall include the class of offense, 
14age, race, ethnicity, and last known zip code of each person 
15committed to a Department facility for a drug-related offense.  
16The report shall be provided to each member of the General

1Assembly and shall be made available on the Department's 
2website.  For the purposes of this subsection (5), "drug" means 
3"cannabis" as defined in subsection (a) of Section 3 of the

4Cannabis Control Act, "controlled substance" as defined in 
5subsection (f) of
Section 102
of the Illinois Controlled 
6Substances Act, or "methamphetamine" as defined in Section 10 
7of the Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act. 
8    (b) (Blank).

9    (c) The Director may require such reports from division 
10administrators,
chief administrative officers and other 
11personnel as he deems necessary for
the administration of the 
12Department.

13    (d) (Blank).
