AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2009 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2009 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:


 
 
4    "Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and 
5Duties Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is 
6amended  by adding Section 2310-665 as follows:
 
7    (20 ILCS 2310/2310-665 new)
8    Sec. 2310-665. Educational materials on streptococcal 
9infection. The Department, in conjunction with the Illinois 
10State Board of Education, shall develop educational material on 
11streptococcal infection for distribution in elementary and 
12secondary schools. The material shall include, but not be 
13limited to:
14        (1) a process to notify parents or guardians of an 
15    outbreak in the school;
16        (2) a process to provide information on all of the

1    symptoms of streptococcal to teachers, parents, and 
2    students; and
3        (3) guidelines for schools to control the spread of 
4    streptococcal infections.
 
 
5    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
6becoming law.".
