| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2399 on page 13, by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 5 through 8 with the following: |
| 4 | | "(i) Except for vehicles exempted under subsection (b) of |
| 5 | | Section 7-601 of this Code, whenever a law enforcement officer |
| 6 | | issues a citation to a driver for a violation of Section 3-707 |
| 7 | | of this Code, and the driver has a conviction for a violation |
| 8 | | of Section 3-707 of this Code in the past 12 months, the |
| 9 | | arresting officer may authorize the removal and impoundment of |
| 10 | | the vehicle by a towing service.".
